Long Beach City Council is reportedly considering a motion that would ban adults without kids from going into playgrounds.
CBS 2 reported four councilmembers are looking to designate “safe spaces” for kids at playgrounds, beaches, and parks and only adults who are with kids 12 and under can go into these spaces.
According the motion, councilmembers said creating “Kid Zones” would keep the city’s playground equipment and areas that are made specifically for kids safe.
Adults would be able to use benches, fields and restrooms.
On Tuesday night, the council voted in favor of requesting a city attorney draft an ordinance.
