A fire at a home in La Canada Flintridge Tuesday left a man dead and three other people injured Tuesday, including a firefighter, authorities said.

Firefighters sent to the 2000 block of Rancho Cañada Road shortly before 4 a.m. extinguished the flames in the two-story, single-family structure in about 20 minutes, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said a man was found dead at the scene, but information on his identity was not immediately available.

A firefighter and two other people were taken to a hospital in unspecified condition, the fire department reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
