
A man in his 30s was shot and killed Thursday near City Hall in downtown Los Angeles.
Central Division officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were called at 3:05 a.m. to West First and South Spring streets regarding a shots fired call. Upon their arrival, the officers found the victim on a sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds, LAPD Officer Melissa Podany told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead
During their investigation, officers learned the suspect approached the victim on foot and shot at him multiple times. The suspect then drove away, Podany said.
There was no vehicle or suspect description.
