Two French bulldog puppies that had been reported stolen were recovered by Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies.
The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station shared a photo of deputies posing with the two puppies on its Facebook page on Monday.
“We wish these were our station mascots, but instead these are two recovered French Bulldogs stolen from a residence in Moreno Valley!,” the post read. “Thankfully, these pups are back where they belong with their owner and the suspect has been identified!”
Sgt. Deirdre Vickers, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, told The Press-Enterprise that the dogs were reported stolen on May 11. Deputies identified the suspect using surveillance footage and were able to rescue the dogs on May 12.
The suspect was not publicly identified.
