It could be said that times of crisis will show you who your real friends are. For the employees of Hollywood landmark restaurant Musso & Frank, the community came out to prove just that.
As the pandemic rages on many are not only being impacted by illness, but also financially – and some of those being hit hardest are in the restaurant industry.
In an effort to help their employees, slatwart in the community, Musso & Frank launched an Employee Relief Fund, an online fundraiser to help their furloughed workers.
According to NBC Los Angeles, as of January 19, the goal of $100,000 has nearly been met.
Just as the servers at Musso & Frank gave their best to their customers, they gave their utmost thanks in a video released on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
"The entire team and family here at The Musso & Frank Grill would like to thank you for your love and support of the Musso Employee Relief Fund," read the message accompanying the video.
"100% of your donations are going directly to the employees while the family owners continue to pay for health benefits during these COVID-19 shutdowns. We will keep the fund active for the duration of the COVID-19 disaster declaration.
Thank You!"
