Emergency dispatch operators in Santa Barbara County said Tuesday afternoon they were experiencing issues receiving 911 calls from some users. The department reported the issue had been fully resolved by 5 p.m.

The Public Safety Dispatch department with the Sheriff's Office said it had identified an issue with cell phone callers that it was working to fix.
The Office of Emergency Management said wireless cellular carriers were working to patch the problem blocking their calls. After "extensive testing," the City said the issue affected T-Mobile/Sprint customers with "cellular or cellular home phone service" within Santa Barbara County — not the city.
The department said it functioned as usual while the cell company addressed the issue.
