Thieves stole an SUV in Playa Del Rey, with $26 million worth of art inside.
The two paintings by Jack Armstrong are called Primal Sun, a work worth $10 million and Imagine, nicknamed the Elvis painting, worth nearly $16 million.
Iain Hammer with Star Global International tells KNX the art was in the back of a black Lincoln MKZ overnight on February 25, in a residential neighborhood, because they were going to be shown to a prospective buyer in the morning.
He said there will be a substantial reward for anyone who returns the stolen art, or gives information to the LAPD which leads to their recovery.
