Audacy's Julia was backstage at Lollapalooza 2022 this past weekend to catch up with some of our favorite artists, including Mike Kerr, one-half of the British rock duo Royal Blood, to find out how the festival season has been treating the guys and what they've got planned come summer's end.

"It can be a bit of a blur sometimes, the whole festival thing; like a bit of an illusion," Kerr says as Royal Blood begins to wind down their 2022 tour itinerary. "We only have three more shows left until we're kind of wrapped. So, we're preparing to go and write more music and look towards what's next. But at the moment we're just, yeah, one show at a time and still enjoying it while we're on the road."

"I think we prefer separating the two -- because they're two completely different mindsets to be in," Mike explains regarding life on the road and getting into a more creative space. "I find that they don't sit that well together, and it's always more productive when we're off the road."

Royal Blood's third studio album, Typhoons, was released in April of 2021. The band's latest single, "Honeybrains," arrived in March of 2022.
