Another “graffiti tower” is drawing the ire of Angelenos. But this one is in the San Fernando Valley, not downtown.

The tower’s located on Sepulveda Blvd. right before Vose St. in Van Nuys. Next to it is a lot that has now become a homeless encampment. KNX News’ Karen Adams reported the lot is littered with trash, old furniture, and tents. Community members want Los Angeles city lawmakers to clean it up.

“It's located on a major thoroughfare, which means that parents have to walk their children to the school up the street by this. We've seen open air drug dealing. We've seen open-air drug use. We've seen fights,” said Michael Browning, with the Insight Center for community and economic development.

He said there have also been fires in the building.

Browning said Mayor Bass and a city council member have been working on clearing the encampment out, but he’d like to see city lawmakers get involved like they did with the “graffiti towers” in downtown.

The San Fernando Valley “graffiti tower” is for sale.
