Sheriff's patrol vehicle crashes in Cerritos

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department patrol vehicle crashed Wednesday in Cerritos, and at least one person was hurt.

Paramedics sent to Pioneer Boulevard and East 183rd Street at about 10 a.m. took one person to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

According to the sheriff's department, the law enforcement vehicle was on a "call for service" when the crash occurred. Authorities could not confirm if a deputy was injured.
