Statue honoring veteran sawed off, stolen from Huntington Park, police say

HUNTINGTON PARK, Calif. (KNX) – Huntington Park police are investigating the theft of a memorial statue from Veteran's Park.

On Dec. 19, employees with the City of Huntington Park Public Works found the copper and bronze statue was sawed off and stolen.

The statue honors fallen U.S. Army Sergeant Diego Solorzano, according to CBS L.A.

“Detectives are requesting the assistance of residents in the surrounding area for any relevant footage to this incident,” the Huntington Park Police Department said.
