An arrest was made following two burglaries in the San Fernando Valley early Tuesday morning.

The first one happened at TEKDEP on Topanga Canyon Blvd. The owner told KNX News’ Jon Baird he got a call around 3:04 a.m. that his store was broken into. When he arrived he found that the suspectsdisabled his wireless cameras and pried open the back door.

“From the office, they took money, they took guns, they took computers also,” he said. “they took a bunch of parts.”

He added that before the suspects knocked out his surveillance camera he was able to get an image of the van.

The second burglary happened around 3:30 a.m. at Sneaker Hustle, a high-end shoe store about a mile away from the tech shop. The shoe store owner said he saw the suspects on camera and when police arrived, two suspects were found in a white van. A shot chase ensued before the two suspects ran off.

The driver of the van was arrested.

When police opened the white van, they found items from the sneaker store inside the abandoned van.

Police told KNX News’ Jon Baird they believe there may be a connection between the two burglaries.
