
Two teen girls were reported missing on Monday night. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Area detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding the girls.
Angie Garcia, 14, and Brenda Castro, 15, were last seen near Nordhoff Street and Aqueduct Avenue in North Hills around 5:00 am.
The two girls and their mother were driving from San Diego to Oakland, when their mother pulled off the freeway. The mother and one of the girls began arguing, and when the mother left her car for a moment, she noticed the car and the two girls were gone.
According to a police department news release, the mother has not heard from the girls since the morning of June 28.
The mother described Angie Garcia as Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 125 pounds. She was wearing a black shirt and grey sweatpants.
Brenda Castro is also Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue pants.
The missing car, where the two girls were last seen, is a 2014 White Dodge Charger, with black racing stripes on the hood, tinted windows and black rims.
The license plate number is unknown at this time.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the two girls was asked to call Devonshire Division detectives at 818-832-0609.
