Two women injured in traffic crash with vehicle in Lancaster

LANCASTER (CNS) - Two women were injured in a crash involving a vehicle in Lancaster, authorities said Sunday.

The crash occurred about 10:10 p.m. Saturday in the 8100 block of West Avenue D, according to the California Highway Patrol, who added it was unclear whether either woman suffered fatal injuries.

Paramedics rushed one woman to a hospital and the other was transported to a hospital by a private vehicle, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher reported.

The crash involved a Lexus ES 350 traveling westbound, according to a source at the scene, who added that a caller told the Lancaster Sheriff's station that her mother and sister had been struck by a car.
