Retailers began to sell tickets for the high-jackpot Mega Millions game on Wednesday after the state Lottery Commission voted to join 11 other states in the Mega Millions game in an attempt to boost stagnant sales and bring in more money for schools. The game was promoted as a way to regularly bring $100 million jackpots to California, while still offering the SuperLotto Plus game. (Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images)

A winning SuperLotto ticket worth $62 million was purchased at a liquor store in Van Nuys, lottery officials announced Monday.

The lucky ticket, with the winning numbers of 15, 9, 11, 30, 27, with a Mega Ball of 25 announced Saturday, was purchased at Tori Liquor.
The liquor store will receive $310,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Salem Faour, the owner of the store, said this was the largest lottery prize sold from his store.

Lottery officials said two additional winning SuperLotto Plus tickets matched five numbers (without the Mega) and were worth nearly $25,000 each. Those tickets were sold in Atwater and San Ysidro.
