The fight happened in the center of the school's campus.
Los Angeles Unified School District superintendent Albert Carvalho said during a press conference that the fight involved around 11 students.
“At least one student produced what is at this point, an unidentified weapon, an object, and stabbed two students,” he said. “Those two students have been transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries at this point.”
He added that two additional students sustained injuries and that one of those two students was also taken to the hospital.
“Three students are in custody and they're being questioned by school police in connection with a fight,” Carvalho said.
He said that students would be released in a staggered fashion.
LAPD said it will assist the L.A. School Police Department in the investigation.
