West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tempore John Erickson told KNX News’ Jon Baird this is the first time since the pandemic that the city is holding this event.

“So we're expecting and very hopeful that a lot of people will be coming,” he said.

City council member Chelsea Byers said the event has something for everyone.

“It's free,” she said.  “If you don't have a costume show up, there's plenty to see. There's bars, there's restaurants, everybody's inviting you in tonight for experiences. Just strolling the boulevard. It's a car free space tonight. It's safe in that way for you to join [the] community and to be out in the celebratory environment, there'll be a DJ playing, there'll be experiences to be had and we hope people will come out and take part of it.”
