Video of deputies from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department using a Taser on a man who allegedly stopped to help following a car crash has gone viral.

Authorities say they were called to the scene of an accident near 104th Street and Van Ness Avenue Tuesday morning, when a man approached them and "became hostile and a use of force occurred.”

The video shows four deputies around the man just after the Taser was used.

People in the video can be heard saying that another man, who appears to be intervening in the melee, was the man’s father.  And that the man who had the Taser used on him, had “something wrong with him,” and his father was trying to stop officers from hurting him.

An eyewitness to the incident, who took video on his cell phone, alleges the man who was tased was simply trying to flag down help after the crash.

According to ABC7, both men were taken into custody and then transported to a hospital.

The man who had the Taser used on him was evaluated by doctors, and the other man was released on a citation for battery on a peace officer and obstruction.

The entire incident is under investigation by the Sheriff's Dept. due to the use of force, according to TMZ.
