YUNGBLUD is fresh off the release of his self-titled third studio album and wants nothing more than to give his fans his authentic self.

YUNGBLUD joined Audacy’s Klein & Ally along with fans for an exclusive listening party celebrating the release of his new record. As he gave us a peek behind his creative curtain, YUNGBLUD opened up on how the last thing he wants to do with his music is use it as a mechanism to become a rock star.
“If I ever become a rock star, just slap me in the face,” he said. “Cause I am one of you, that’s what I always want to be.”
Why’s that? Well, YUNGBLUD has a pretty simple answer. “It’s all bollocks, it’s a complete front.”
During the making of the album, YUNGBLUD looked to several Rock titans for inspiration. He cited the likes of David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, and Lou Reed as inspiration for the record. Not just as an influence for the album’s sound, but an influence into its overall vibe.
