With the arrival of brand new releases from both blink-182 and The Rolling Stones on October 20, a battle has been steadily brewing in the charts between both Rock behemoths.

Each new album has its added perks: blink-182's ONE MORE TIME... seeing the return of their classic lineup of Tom DeLonge, Travis Barker, and Mark Hoppus, and The Rolling Stones working with a number of big-name collaborators like Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, and more on their latest, Hackney Diamonds. Both also feature each group's first full albums of all new material in years; Blink’s first since 2011's Neighborhoods, and The Stones’ first since 2005's A Bigger Bang.

Obviously, fans from the two camps scrambled to pick up the new releases on release day, and now just over a week later the numbers have started to roll in. Currently, blink-182 will be sitting on top of the Billboard 200 albums chart dated November 4 with 125k equivalent album units earned in the U.S. the week ending October 26. Those sales were in no doubt helped by the fact that blink had been on the road prior to their album drop, which was also bolstered by the teases "Dance With Me," “One More Time,” “More Than You Know,” and 2022’s “EDGING.”.

The Rolling Stones have also made it into the top 10 on the upcoming Billboard 200, extending their record to 38 for the most top 10-charting albums in the history of the list, debuting at number 3 with 101k equivalent album units earned for Hackney Diamonds, teased with just two tracks before the release.

First came "Angry," which also arrived with an incredible throwback music video, and the second was their epic collaboration with singer Lady Gaga, and the legend himself Stevie Wonder, on "Sweet Sounds of Heaven."

Congratulations are certainly in order for both legendary bands, still able to hold down the fort after all these years.
