Marty In Your Ear Afternoons

Born and raised in California, I’m a mountain-loving, beach-chasing, Sport buff- radio guy raised on snowboards, skateboards, loud guitars, and just enough failed surfing attempts to know better. When I’m not lighting up the mic at 98 Rock, I’m hanging with my 10-year-old son, the light of my life, and coaching his soccer team, which he’d probably tell you is just my sneaky way of trying to stay a kid forever. From Sierra days to A’s games to walking the grounds of historic Sutter’s Fort, the same place I visited at his age, California isn’t just where I’m from, it’s in my blood. Sacramento, our City of Trees, is home, and I wear that with pride. At home, we keep it loud with Bad Religion, Yelawolf, Outlaw Country, and Metallica, and when I grab the 98 Rock mic 3-7p weekdays, it’s with one mission: to fire you up, make you bang your head a little, and rock you to beer o’clock.
