Dave Navarro and Billy Morrison held their annual Above Ground charity concert at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and brought out several guests throughout the evening.
The guests ranged from the likes of Taylor Hawkins and Corey Taylor, but one cameo stole the show. That would be Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis, who joined Navarro on stage for a mini-RHCP reunion.
“Been a very long time since I performed with my brother Anthony! What a magical night. Thank you so much for coming out and supporting @abovegroundorg my friend!” Navarro wrote on Instagram.
At the show, Kiedis joined Navarro for a rendition of the Lou Reed classic “Walk On The WIld Side.” Watch fan-shot footage of the performance here.
As you may recall, Navarro joined Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1993 as he made his first live appearance with the band at Woodstock ‘94. He ended up appearing on the 1995 studio album One Hot Minute, representing his first and only record with the band.
Navarro wound up leaving RHCP in 1998, which up until last night, was the last time he performed with the band.
