The City of Sacramento is encouraging residents to celebrate Earth Day by participating in virtual or 'pandemic safe' events.
Earth day takes place April 22, and people can celebrate virtually by attending the Sacramento Youth Commissioner Conversation on Climate Change on April 21 or the Earth Day Brown Bag Lunch with City Sustainability Staff on April 22.
Residents can get a more hands on experience by volunteering The Great Sacramento Clean-Up Event on April 24. Masks and social distance are required. The clean up will take place at multiple sites throughout the city. Get more details and register ahead of time HERE.
