We're working with the San Diego Humane Society to kick the #BettyWhiteChallenge up a notch and get 100 pets a home in honor of what would have been her 100th birthday. This morning we met Cora and Kiara, who are both looking for a loving home. All adoption fees for these two loves and all adult animals are being waived through January 16th.
Name: Cora (pictured above)
Age: 4 years
Gender: Spayed female
Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback
Cora is a beautiful 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix looking for an active friend to spend her days with. Cora has a lot of energy and would benefit from physical and mental exercise. Things like stuffed kongs, puzzle toys (there are a ton of DYI ideas online), slow feeders, and trick training would be great ways to keep her mentally busy. She is very smart and treat motivated, so she is sure to excel at new mental games. With a consistent schedule and patience, she is sure to thrive in a new home. Are you ready for Cora to bring excitement and fun to your life? I'll bet she is ready for you! Stop by our San Diego Campus and ask about her today or visit sdhumane.org/adopt to learn more!
Name: Kiara (pictured below)
Age: 1 years old
Gener: Female
Breed: Lionhead
Meet Kiara! She’s a sweet, Lionhead rabbit. Did you know it’s possible to train a Lionhead? They are very smart! They can comprehend certain orders such as, come, play and eat. Lionhead rabbits can also be litter trained, and make suitable house rabbits. Kiara would love a home with a nice, indoor play area where she can hop and exhibit some of her behaviors! She would love a family who will interact with her daily to keep him active and social. When rabbits get the space and enrichment they need, they often form deep bonds with their humans.
