Period poverty affects 500 million women and girls each month, in every country (including the USA where even girls in San Diego are missing 3-5 days of school each month because they can't afford pads or tampons). CouldYou is working globally to end period poverty with a 10 year, $10 menstrual solution. Our friends at Piper and Heath are working with them to expand their work in Zimbabwe, although they also work in San Diego. Christine Garde-Denning, Founder and CEO of CouldYou, discusses the long-term effects when girls have access to sustainable period products.
