This weekend, the second all Vietnam Veteran Honor Flight will be headed to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials and monuments built in their honor. It will be an emotional weekend capped by a homecoming on Sunday at the San Diego International Airport. Honor Flight San Diego is inviting the entire community to attend to help welcome home these heroes with the fanfare they deserve but never got.
Please come to the San Diego International Airport Terminal Two Baggage Claim this SUNDAY, November 6th. They are scheduled to land at 2 pm but you will want to get there by 1 pm in case they catch a tailwind. The Sweethearts of Swing will entertain the crowd from 1-2 pm with music from the 60s and 70s with some throwbacks to the 40s and 50s.
PARKING - Due to ongoing airport construction, parking will be very limited. Attendees are encouraged to carpool and there's a FREE lot with FREE shuttles lined up. The lot is located at: 3225 N. Harbor Drive (turn on Winship Lane to access the lot). Shuttles will start from the front of the Admin building at 11:30 a.m. and will run until after the homecoming. There will be signs directing people there and our Patriot Guard Rider friends will be helping to guide people into the lot. Shuttles start at 11:30 am to the airport terminal and will run continuously until after the homecoming ends.
