February is American Heart Month, and according to the American Heart Association, Cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year - more than all cancers combined. The Centers for Disease Control indicate that heart failure is the leading cause of death across all ethnic groups, and that one person dies every 36 seconds. That is about 655,000 deaths every year from cardiovascular disease, mainly coronary artery disease and heart attacks.
