It’s no surprise to anyone Country singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde loves a good tattoo, but what you may find surprising is fans asking her if they can get her tattoos on their own bodies.

LISTEN NOW: Ashley McBryde has a message for fans trying to copy her tattoos

“So often I get the question, ‘Can I get your tattoos tattoo’d to me?’” Ashley told WYCD’s Josh, Rachael and Grunwald in the Morning.

“It’s a little strange in the tattoo culture side of things… They’re like, ‘can I get your permission to get your tattoo? 'And I’m like, ‘well, I can’t stop you.’ Also, if you’re gonna take another tattoo artist’s art to a different tattoo artist and ask them to do exactly that, it’s a little bit disrespectful to both tattoo artists. You should really have that person draw their own version of what you’re looking to get.”

You heard it from the pro. While, flattering, it’s best to find your own tattoos and according to McBryde who says she plans on getting “many, many more,” the more creative, "the better.”

Most recently, McBryde got ink inspired by her 2022 GRAMMY Award which she won alongside Carly Pearce for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with their hit "Never Wanted To Be That Girl.”

While the award sure makes a cool tattoo, McBryde says she has no plans immediate plans to get any ACM tattoos if she takes home a prize tonight… but then again, never say never.

"You have to think about it because we go to so many away shows and there’s so many nominations— you’ll eventually run out of space," she said before re-thinking her answer. “We‘re working on thighs right now [though], so there’s tons of space.”

Catch Ashley at tonight’s 58th Annual ACM Awards taking place live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX. The show can be streamed via Amazon’s Prime video beginning at 7PM ET / 6PM CT/ 4PM PT.
