“ACMs called me about wanting to do something for Toby to pay tribute to him, his career, and all the things he’s accomplished,” Aldean told Katie before noting Toby is one of the artists he’s looked up to most throughout his career. Honored to have the opportunity to spotlight one of his heroes, Aldean continued on to share exactly what song he plans to sing.
“We’re supposed to be doing a version of ‘Should’ve Been A Cowboy,’” he revealed. “It’s a little bit of a different version. We’re really kind of making a moment in the show to put something pretty cool that I hope people will like.”
