Alachua County

ACTIVITIES/EVENT CANCELLATIONS-Alachua County

Alachua County has activated Critical Information Line 311. This line is for the latest updates on the storm. Those who have a medical emergency or emergency requiring police action should call 911. For law enforcement matters other than emergencies call 352-955-1818.

All Alachua County offices, City of Gainesville offices, parks, and Camp Cuscowilla activities will be closed Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

SANDBAGS-Alachua County

Alachua County will have sandbags available for residents on Monday, July 5, from noon to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, July 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Wayside Park (11855 N.W. US 441, Gainesville). There is a limit of 10 bags per person.

University of Florida, Santa Fe College and Alachua County public schools have cancelled all classes for Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

Citrus County

ACTIVITIES/EVENT CANCELLATIONS-Citrus County

Citizen Information Line is active at (352)249-2775.

Citrus County Board of County Commissioners issued a voluntary evacuation for low-lying areas west of U.S. highway 19 and ALL mobile homes, manufactured homes, and recreational vehicles throughout the county.

SANDBAGS-Citrus County

Due to potential flooding, the following locations are open for sandbags:
• 4210 S. Grandmarch Ave. in Homosassa, near Grover Cleveland Boulevard
• 7500 State Road 44, on the opposite side of the road from Dan’s Clam Stand
Both sites will be open Monday (7/5/21) from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. They will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday (7/6/21) and remain open until further notice.
There is a limit of 15 bags per vehicle. For more information, please call 352-527-7610.

The City of Crystal River has also opened a self-serve sandbag site located at the Crystal River Firehouse, 650 NW 3rd Ave. Both bags and sand will be provided.
