There are certain subjects that many avoid to prevent an all-out war! Politics, religion and candy corn. The small, pyramid-shaped, tri-color candy can conjure up strong opinions that be in such conflict that you lose your invitation to Thanksgiving dinner! There is no denying that candy corn is associated with Halloween as much as Jack-O-Lanterns. But perhaps knowledge as to which state population prefers candy corn more than others will help. For those who love them, you are in good company in Florida. According to Brach's, the company who makes candy corn, Florida is third nationwide in candy corn consumption, right behind Texas and California. New York, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Indiana round out the top 5. As for states where handing out candy corn to trick-or treaters may land your home as a target for an “egging”, Alabama ranks as the state that likes them least. Followed by Hawaii, Nebraska, Vermont and Wisconsin.
