Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - In another sign that Las Vegas is recovering, the Las Vegas Monorail resumes operations on Thursday, just in time for what's expected to be a very busy Memorial Day Weekend.
The monorail shut down, along with the rest of the Las Vegas Strip, in March of 2020 at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
The monorail runs on the east side of the Strip, with 7 stops between the MGM Grand and the Sahara.
Fees to ride the monorail are $5 for a one-way ride; $13 for a one-day pass; $23 for a two-day pass and $29 for a three-day pass. Residents with local ID can get a 20-ride pass for $20.
As of now, far coverings will be required to ride the trains, and proper distancing needs to be encouraged.
