Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – U.S. Marshals in Las Vegas have arrested a man they say is the one who terrified numerous resident in Philadelphia this month while wearing a creepy baby-doll mask.
22-year-old Zymire Hughes was apprehended at an apartment complex in the 6500 block of Boulder Highway. He is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center as he awaits extradition back to Pennsylvania.
Police say that Hughes began his reign of terror on the morning of August 12th, harassing over a dozen people. Police say he also accosted a female jogger, reportedly asking her “Are you ready to die?’
Authorities say that Hughes recorded the interactions to put on his various social media accounts.
After local news aired surveillance footage identifying him, investigators say that Hughes, who was in Philadelphia visiting relatives, packed his bags, boarded a flight on August 19th out of Trenton-Mercer Airport in New Jersey, traveled through Orlando, and ultimately hunkered down with his girlfriend at a Las Vegas residence.
Hughes faces charges that include aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, stalking and intimidation, and making terroristic threats. His first court appearance is set for Thursday.
