Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police were involved in a shooting downtown on Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 5pm, Metro officers were called to an apartment complex near Fremont and Maryland Parkway after receiving a report that a man was causing a disturbance. When they arrived, officers found the suspect on the 4th floor, damaging property.
Metro said that at some point in the confrontation, the suspect produced what was believed to be a gun, and an officer fired his weapon toward the suspect. The individual then retreated into a nearby room and barricaded himself.
After several hours, Metro took the man into custody without incident. The suspect wasn’t hurt, nor were any of the officers involved.
