If you are a lover of cheese, this news is for you.
After five years of not being on the menu, Taco Bell is officially bringing back the Quesalupa.
According to CNN, the last time Taco Bell fans saw the Quesalupa on the menu would have been in 2016, and for the first time in five years, it is now coming back.
The Quesalupa features a chalupa shell with melted pepper jack and mozzarella cheese. In addition to the cheesy taste, the taco shell includes lettuce, beef, tomatoes, sour cream, and of course, more cheese.
However, if you are a vegetarian, you can swap out the beef for black beans.
Taco lovers can purchase the $2.99 item nationwide on March 11, but it will only be available for a limited time. While the item itself costs just $2.99, fans can buy a Quesalupa meal for $6.99, which includes two tacos and a large drink.
Taco Bell is known for adding items to its menu and surprising its fans with new and nostalgic items.
The chain previously teased that they would “interrupt” the chicken sandwich wars with their Crispy Chicken Sandwich taco, featuring chicken marinated in jalapeño buttermilk and fried with a crunchy tortilla chip coating.
Additionally, in an effort to please fans, Taco Bell announced that potato items would be back on the menu beginning March 11, 2021.
The potatoes were booted from Taco Bell’s menu in August. Both the Spicy Fiesta Soft Taco & Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes will return.
