State Farm Insurance has halted a book donation program conceived in partnership with the GenderCool Project that would have donated LGBTQ+ books to local public libraries and public school libraries after suffering a backlash from both customers and local State Farm agents.
Tara Servatius of The Tara Show says it’s yet another sign that mainstream culture is rebelling against “wokeness.”
“These companies are the victims of what I like to call ‘corporate capture,’” Servatius said, “where the virus infects the host and either turns it into a replica of the virus or destroys it.”
“It’s what they did with the Boy Scouts and the NFL. They will either destroy uniquely-American institutions or co-opt them, even if co-opting them destroys them economically, with the idea that we will tell 70% of our audience to pound sand. Go away, we don’t want you. We will somehow survive selling our product to the 30% or less.”
