There are several ways you can virtually honor National Vietnam War Veterans Day on Monday.

March 29 marks the day U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, disestablished in 1973. This is the fourth anniversary of the day and the second year in a row events will be largely virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here’s a list of some of those events.

- According to a VA blog post, the public has several options to see Vietnam memorial walls this year. . Learn more here.

- Read VA Secretary Denis McDonough’s message here.

- VA will also release videos on its social media channels.

- The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund will host an online commemoration at 1 p.m. Monday with a live webcast here or here.

The Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin has become “a lasting memento of the nation’s thanks.” Living U.S. veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, are eligible to receive one lapel pin.

Veterans normally receive lapel pins during public ceremonies. However, if there is no commemorative event planned in your area, eligible veterans can go here and click on “How can I get a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin?” Veterans will receive their pin by mail.

Join Team RWB as they welcome home Vietnam veterans by honoring their service and sacrifice through a workout challenge here.
