The 2022 election is just five months away, and with the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives up for grabs, Republicans seem ready and energized to reclaim both.

Rich Zeoli, the host of the Rich Zeoli Show on 1210 WPHT News Radio, says that the strong turnout seen in the Republican primaries in Pennsylvania shows that the nation is ready for a change in D.C.

If Zeoli had to bet, he would put his money on the Republicans as he shared that in November, he doesn’t “even think it’s going to be close this time around.”

“I’m basing that on the fact that just looking at some of these election results in terms of the enthusiasm and the numbers of voters who came out at these Republican primaries, that tells me a lot,” Zeoli said. “That tells me the enthusiasm is there.”

On the other side of that, Zeoli also acknowledged the attempts from the left who want to repeat the same rhetoric he says they always do, but this time he says it isn’t going to work.

“They want to label Republicans…as the party of racists, sexists, homophobes, and extremists, deplorables,” Zeoli said. “Thinking that will drive suburban affluent voters away. It’s not going to work. It’s not going to work again.”

With such a huge turnout in Pennsylvania, in a race that, as of Wednesday morning, was still too early to call, Zeoli thinks that we will see Republicans show up to vote in November like never before.

“If you add up all these Republican votes yesterday and you contrast that with all the Democrat votes yesterday, you see what I mean about enthusiasm,” Zeoli said.

Zeoli says that the argument for Democrats to use would be that the nominee was already a lock, but Zeoli isn’t buying it. In fact, he says that “the Democrats just don’t have enthusiasm.”
