Monday night's NFL contest between the Baltimore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raiders had a little bit of everything.
There were lead changes. There was overtime. There were controversial calls. There were highlight plays. There were even blaring fire alarms on one of the broadcasts... there was everything.

What made it all the more interesting was just how much happened and just how many different elements of a football game were crammed into the final ticks of the game. The Raiders drove down the field to start off the overtime period, but they were met with the worst imaginable outcome of the drive.
The Ravens obviously reacted with bursts of excitement on the field and from the sideline, only to be met with a similar fate minutes later.
And at that point, though many thought the Raiders would just kick a game-winning field goal — they even seemingly brought the unit out to do so — a delay of game penalty pushed them back five yards and into somewhat questionable FG territory. Naturally, the answer was to just have Derek Carr heave a touchdown while falling backward to a wide open Zay Jones... obviously!
No one could believe what was going on throughout the game, especially at the end, and their reactions on social media told the whole story.
Let's hope that every week of the 2021 NFL season can finish as strongly as the opener did.
