In recent years, we've become accustomed to the Super Bowl and sports betting going hand in hand. In 2024, it seems like that will be the case to a greater extent than ever before.

According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Las Vegas has been chosen to host Super Bowl LVIII "pending final approval from owners." Those owners will come together in Dallas on Wednesday, and an official announcement is expected to come out of that meeting.
Due to the expanded 18-week schedule that was implemented by the NFL for the 2021 season and beyond, the initial host of Super Bowl LVIII — New Orleans — could no longer accommodate such an event, with the city's Mardi Gras celebration causing a conflict in timing. Such a conflict will not occur in 2025, and so New Orleans is set to host Super Bowl LIX instead.
According to Bonsignore, Las Vegas won the bid after building "an ambitious and multi-leveled plan to convince NFL owners of its viability" to host the event and all its surrounding festivities. Vegas speaks for itself with all of its entertainment and hospitality venues, so this doesn't come as a huge surprise.
Super Bowl LVIII will mark the third year in a row where the event will be held at the stadium of a team in a West division, with Los Angeles hosting this year's big game and Glendale, Arizona serving as the host for 2023.
