PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — I know I sound like I'm repeating myself over and over, but when it comes to COVID-19, nothing has changed.

It still attacks the same way everywhere, but I believe that we all have to get used to the idea that in our daily lives, everything has changed.

Our jobs, the way we interact with others, and even the way we relax has changed. I worry about this coronavirus because it's like the common cold on steroids.

It's far more contagious than the flu and more deadly.

Yes, our treatments will improve and we are already learning some tough lessons about what we need to slow it down and what can happen when we take our foot off the gas.

But, as a family physician, I think we will need to help everyone with change.

In some ways, dealing with change may be far more disruptive than dealing with the virus.
