PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome received a great deal of attention when cases started popping up, but as COVID-19 has continued to attack people throughout the world, it is not going away.
In fact, pediatric hospitals are dealing with it and certainly concerned about it on a daily basis.
This is because it can randomly present in a child who may have not even shown signs they had COVID-19 in the first place.
Children can have a fever, difficulty feeding or drinking fluids, severe abdominal pain and can have changes in skin color, difficulty breathing and cardiac issues.
This shows COVID-19 doesn't just attack old people or people with underlying conditions.
