PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — During the holidays, you don't have to look far for an adult beverage.
But it's smart to keep drinking to a minimum — there can be short-term and long-term health impacts.
For women, research has linked higher alcohol intake to an increased risk for breast cancer. With all the dinners and parties that the holiday season brings, it can be easy to overindulge in alcohol.
Before hitting holiday parties, decide how many drinks you'll have. Don't go over the limit you set, politely say "no" to drink offers when you don't want one, including offers to top off a glass of wine.
