PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As sad and tragic as the deaths from COVID-19 of so many people in the U.S. and around the world have been, there have been incredible lessons learned about the way the virus attacks and what can be done to attack some of the symptoms.

Lives are already being saved as we learn about the best times to start or not start artificial ventilation, as well as the treatment of some of the bizarre symptoms caused by clots and overstimulation of the immune system in certain people.

The key is to remain focused on coronavirus in our communities and in the health care settings.

Another critical step is the importance being placed on non-coronavirus health issues and the need to make certain we do not ignore them.
