PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — There is no doubt that wine, various types of hard seltzer and old alcohol classics like whiskey and vodka are more popular than ever.

There are also numerous studies that show binge drinking is higher than ever at college campuses.

But all of this alcohol use comes with a price, according to experts at the National Institutes of Health.

The latest studies have focused on increasing alcohol-induced mortality rates of white U.S. residents between the ages of 25 and 64, and the increase suggests we may be on the verge of a major public health problem.
