SOUTH HARRISON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — An investigation is underway into a school bus crash in South Harrison Township, Gloucester County that sent more than a dozen children to the hospital.
The accident happened around 3:20 p.m. Monday at Ferrell and Monroeville roads.
Authorities say the bus was carrying 22 students from the Gloucester County Institute of Technology when it collided with a tractor-trailer carrying sand.
The truck driver and 14 students were sent to nearby hospitals. Authorities say there are no life-threatening injuries.
A hazmat team was on the scene to cleanup the diesel fuel that leaked from the truck.
There is no word yet on the condition of the truck driver.
