February 7, 2019 After battling the flames, repairs to the ramp would extend all the way until about 3 p.m. Friday.
PennDOT spokesman Brad Rudolph explained that crews had been working to resurface the few hundred feet of fire-damaged area.
"Crews have been out there all night cutting out damaged sections of the pavement, and they're basically performing a resurfacing operation, where they're milling the surface and then they're replacing it with asphalt," Rudolph said.
