PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — At least five people are hospitalized after a chemical leak at Monroe Energy on Post Road in Delaware County.
Emergency officials say five contract workers at the facility were exposed to hydrofluoric acid just before 10 a.m. Wednesday when a hose broke free.

January 23, 2019 The workers were decontaminated at the scene and taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for observation. Their injures are described as not life-threatening.
Officials say the leak is contained to the facility's property, and there is no risk to anyone outside.
It's unclear at this time what caused the chemical leak.
