As you accelerate, so does their ship in a space race, dodging and firing lasers. You stop at an active crosswalk, and they see people as furry little birds and use their remote to "bop" them on the heads and score points.
Holoride says each experience is timed and tailored to the route in the navigation system.
The Chinese startup says it has a monitoring system so drivers don't get too distracted, which is something Hitachi can help with.
It's demonstrating a long-range car summoning system that brings your ride to you from a parking space while avoiding pedestrians and errant shopping carts.
