Lt. Vivian Coley with the Camden County Police Department said last week, a group of men were riding around the city, shooting random people and buildings with a paintball gun.
She said they received a number of calls from people who witnessed what was going on, and one woman even came in to file a report after being shot.
"She had visible marks and scars. She was extremely upset," Coley said.
That woman's report of the vehicle and incident led the police to 18-year-old Christopher Worley of Blackwood, who was eventually arrested and charged with simple assault and weapons offenses.
"He indicated that he did drive the vehicle, and he admits they were shooting paintballs from the vehicle, but he refused to give us the information on who the other suspects were involved," Coley said.

The police department is asking for the public's help identifying at least two other people they say were in the car with Worley in the paintball rampage that also left the Catholic Diocese building marked with paintballs.
"There were other people who were stuck by the paintball gun, but they refused to cooperate or come into the police station."
Coley said they have not recovered a weapon, but since Worley's arrest there have not been any new reports of paintball attacks.
Worley is also facing aggravated assault charges in an unrelated incident.
